After stepping away from vocals, Noz turned his creative energy toward songwriting, sound design, and recording. His current work is marked by the use of distinctive audio clips, voice messages, and layered effects—drawing influence from prank calls, talk radio, and sample-heavy acts like Ministry. “My guitar is my mouthpiece now,” says Noz. “I’m obsessed with anything audio-based that carries real emotion.”
In 2023, Noz hosted guitarist René Perez (Flesh Parade) on Episode 14 of his podcast We’ll Do It LIVE!, a full-circle moment for Noz, who saw Flesh Parade perform in New Orleans in 1993 and still keeps the original show flyer in his studio. The interview sparked a creative collaboration between the two artists. Noz sent René a demo titled Temple of Pan, a track inspired by a childhood friend’s voice message and interpreted through the lens of astral projection and spiritual exploration. René contributed drums, bass, mixing, mastering, and co-production, bringing the song to life. “René made it sound so good. I was blown away,” Noz recalls.
With Temple of Pan as the first release of many to come, Noz is already working on new material and planning future collaborations. “We’ve found our sound and our formula,” he says. “The ideas are everywhere—and I can’t wait to bring in some guest musicians along the way.”
